Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk or other low-carb milk alternative
  • 2 tablespoons natural peanut butter unsweetened, no sugar added
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 scoop low-carb chocolate or vanilla protein powder optional
  • 1 teaspoon MCT oil or coconut oil optional, for extra fats
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 5 –6 ice cubes adjust for thickness
  • Sweetener to taste stevia, erythritol, monk fruit, optional
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds or flax seeds optional, for added fiber and omega-3s

Equipment

  • 1 Blender
  • 1 Measuring cups and spoons
  • 1 Spoon or spatula
  • 1 Tall glass or smoothie cup
  • 1 Straw (optional)

Method
 

Step 1: Prepare Ingredients
  1. Measure all ingredients accurately. If using peanut butter, make sure it’s smooth and well-mixed.
Step 2: Add to Blender
  1. Add almond milk, peanut butter, cocoa powder, protein powder (if using), MCT or coconut oil, vanilla extract, ice cubes, and sweetener to the blender.
Step 3: Blend Smooth
  1. Blend on high speed for 30–60 seconds until fully smooth and creamy. Stop and scrape down the sides if necessary.
Step 4: Adjust Consistency
  1. Check consistency. Add more almond milk if too thick, or more ice if you prefer it thicker and colder. Blend again briefly.
Step 5: Add Seeds (Optional)
  1. If using chia or flax seeds, add them last and pulse for a few seconds to mix. This avoids over-blending and maintains texture.
Step 6: Taste and Adjust Sweetness
  1. Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetener if needed. A small pinch of salt can also enhance flavor.
Step 7: Serve
  1. Pour into a tall glass or smoothie cup. Optional toppings include a sprinkle of cocoa powder, chopped peanuts, or whipped cream (keto-friendly).
