  • ¼ cup heavy cream or full-fat coconut cream
  • ¼ cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp powdered erythritol or monk fruit sweetener
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds or flaxseed meal optional
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Equipment

  • 1 High-speed blender
  • 1 Measuring cups
  • 1 Measuring spoons
  • 1 Zester or microplane
  • 1 Citrus juicer (optional)
  • 1 Spoon or spatula
  • 1 Serving glass or mason jar

Method

Step 1: Prepare Ingredients
  1. Wash the blueberries if using fresh. Zest and juice the lemon, making sure no seeds are included.
Step 2: Add Ingredients to Blender
  1. Pour the almond milk into the blender first.
  2. Add heavy cream or coconut cream.
  3. Add blueberries, lemon juice, lemon zest, sweetener, vanilla extract, and optional seeds.
  4. Add ice cubes last.
Step 3: Blend
  1. Blend on high speed for 30–45 seconds, or until the smoothie is completely smooth and creamy. Scrape down the sides if necessary and blend again briefly.
Step 4: Taste and Adjust
  1. Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness or lemon flavor as needed. Add more ice for thickness or almond milk for a thinner consistency.
Step 5: Serve
  1. Pour into a chilled glass and serve immediately for best flavor and texture.
