Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs ground beef 80/20 preferred
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup cream cheese softened
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon sugar-free ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil if needed
  • Optional toppings: bacon bits sliced pickles, sesame seeds

Method
 

Preheat the oven
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 casserole dish and set aside.
Cook the ground beef
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add olive oil if needed, then add the ground beef. Break it apart with a spatula and cook until browned.
Add aromatics
  1. Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the beef. Cook for 2–3 minutes until fragrant and softened. Drain excess grease if necessary.
Season the beef
  1. Stir in salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well and remove from heat.
Prepare the creamy mixture
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, softened cream cheese, mustard, and sugar-free ketchup until smooth.
Combine beef and sauce
  1. Add the cooked beef mixture to the creamy egg mixture. Stir until fully combined.
Add cheese
  1. Fold in half of the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.
Transfer to casserole dish
  1. Pour the mixture into the prepared casserole dish and spread evenly.
Top with cheese
  1. Sprinkle the remaining shredded cheese evenly on top.
Bake
  1. Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes, or until the casserole is set and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Rest before serving
  1. Allow the casserole to rest for 10 minutes before slicing to help it set properly.
