Step 1: Prepare the Sweet Potatoes
- Wash and peel sweet potatoes (optional).

Cooking options:
- Roast at 200°C (400°F) for 20–25 minutes
- OR sauté in skillet for 10–12 minutes
- Potatoes should be tender with lightly crisp edges.
Step 2: Prepare the Chicken
- Season chicken with salt and pepper.
- Heat skillet with olive oil.
- Cook chicken over medium heat for 5–7 minutes per side.
- Chicken should be golden outside and fully cooked inside (75°C / 165°F).
- Remove and rest briefly before slicing.
Step 3: Make the Honey Garlic Sauce
- In the same pan:
- Lower heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté briefly (30–60 seconds).
- Add honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, chili flakes.
- Stir until combined and slightly thickened.
- Avoid high heat to prevent burning.
Step 4: Combine Everything
- Return chicken to pan or drizzle sauce over sliced pieces.
- Add sweet potatoes.
- Toss gently to coat.
- Cook briefly to meld flavors.
Step 5: Garnish and Rest
- Sprinkle herbs or seeds. Allow dish to rest 2–3 minutes.
