Method
Step 1: Prepare the Chicken
- Begin by slicing the chicken breasts into bite-sized cubes or strips. This helps them cook faster and absorb seasoning more evenly.
- Season the chicken with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Toss until fully coated.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add olive oil followed by butter. Once melted and lightly bubbling, add the chicken.
- Cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and fully cooked. The goal is a caramelized exterior with juicy interiors.
- Reduce heat slightly and drizzle honey over the chicken. Stir gently to coat. Allow the honey and butter to combine into a glaze. Cook for another 1–2 minutes, then remove from heat and set aside.
Step 2: Cook the Pasta
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
- Reserve a small amount of pasta water before draining. This can help adjust sauce consistency later.
Step 3: Make the Alfredo Sauce
- In a clean skillet, melt butter over medium-low heat. Add minced garlic and sauté briefly until fragrant (about 30 seconds). Avoid browning.
- Pour in heavy cream and stir gently. Allow the cream to heat and slightly thicken for 2–3 minutes.
- Gradually add grated parmesan cheese while stirring continuously. The sauce will become thick, smooth, and creamy.
- Season with salt, black pepper, and optional chili flakes.
Step 4: Combine Pasta & Sauce
- Add drained pasta directly into the Alfredo sauce. Toss gently using tongs to coat evenly.
- If needed, add reserved pasta water a tablespoon at a time to loosen the sauce.
Step 5: Add Honey Butter Chicken
- Top the pasta with honey butter chicken or mix it in. Ensure even distribution for consistent flavor.
- Garnish with parsley if desired.
