Ingredients

For the Honey Butter Chicken
  • 2 large chicken breasts or 4 small
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
For the Alfredo Pasta
  • 250 g fettuccine or linguine pasta
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ¾ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Optional: pinch of chili flakes
  • Optional: fresh parsley for garnish

Equipment

  • Large skillet or frying pan
  • Medium saucepan (for pasta)
  • Tongs or spatula
  • Sharp knife
  • Cutting board
  • Measuring spoons and cups
  • Strainer or colander
  • Wooden spoon or silicone spatula

Method

Step 1: Prepare the Chicken
  1. Begin by slicing the chicken breasts into bite-sized cubes or strips. This helps them cook faster and absorb seasoning more evenly.
  2. Season the chicken with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Toss until fully coated.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add olive oil followed by butter. Once melted and lightly bubbling, add the chicken.
  4. Cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and fully cooked. The goal is a caramelized exterior with juicy interiors.
  5. Reduce heat slightly and drizzle honey over the chicken. Stir gently to coat. Allow the honey and butter to combine into a glaze. Cook for another 1–2 minutes, then remove from heat and set aside.
Step 2: Cook the Pasta
  1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. Reserve a small amount of pasta water before draining. This can help adjust sauce consistency later.
Step 3: Make the Alfredo Sauce
  1. In a clean skillet, melt butter over medium-low heat. Add minced garlic and sauté briefly until fragrant (about 30 seconds). Avoid browning.
  2. Pour in heavy cream and stir gently. Allow the cream to heat and slightly thicken for 2–3 minutes.
  3. Gradually add grated parmesan cheese while stirring continuously. The sauce will become thick, smooth, and creamy.
  4. Season with salt, black pepper, and optional chili flakes.
Step 4: Combine Pasta & Sauce
  1. Add drained pasta directly into the Alfredo sauce. Toss gently using tongs to coat evenly.
  2. If needed, add reserved pasta water a tablespoon at a time to loosen the sauce.
Step 5: Add Honey Butter Chicken
  1. Top the pasta with honey butter chicken or mix it in. Ensure even distribution for consistent flavor.
  2. Garnish with parsley if desired.
