Wash and prep produce
Rinse spinach thoroughly under cold water and pat dry. Peel bananas and slice them into even rounds. Peel and core the pineapple, then cut it into small chunks.
Set up your workspace
Lay out freezer bags on a clean counter. Decide on portion sizes—typically one bag equals one smoothie serving.
Add greens first
Place a generous handful of spinach into each freezer bag. Packing greens at the bottom helps them freeze flat and evenly.
Add fruit
Divide banana slices evenly among the bags, followed by pineapple chunks. Keep proportions consistent for uniform flavor across packets.
Include optional add-ins
Sprinkle in any dry boosters like seeds or powders. Avoid adding liquids or yogurt at this stage.
Seal and flatten
Press out as much air as possible from each bag before sealing. Flatten the packets so they stack easily and freeze faster.
Label and freeze
Write the date and contents on each bag. Place them flat in the freezer and freeze until solid.
Blend when ready
When ready to enjoy, empty one packet into a blender, add your liquid of choice, blend until smooth, and serve immediately.
